Sewing Circle with Northwest Artist Marie Watt, 6–8 pm
Portland-based artist Marie Watt is coming to Tacoma to create memories with our community through the art of sewing. Sit with her as she teaches a stitch and leads the group in discussions about blankets and the memories attached to them. No sewing experience is necessary. All supplies will be provided. All ages are welcome and you can come and go as you wish.

The artist is also collecting blankets from members of the community that will become part of a bronze sculpture she is creating for the front of the museum. Those who contribute a blanket will receive a screen print by Marie Watt. Don’t miss this opportunity to sit with a Northwest artist and create art together.
