Join us as we celebrate both the city of Tacoma and a major milestone for the community’s museum. All day we’ll be honoring the opening of Mighty Tacoma: Photographic Portrait 2010, an interactive, community-centered exhibition creating a contemporary portrait of Tacoma—and we’ll be wishing Tacoma Art Museum a happy 75th birthday! During the day, participate in family art activities celebrating the museum and the city. Be one of the first people to become a part of the exhibition by having your photo taken and displayed in the gallery. Then, stay for the evening as we ramp up our celebration with performances and special treats, including a beer garden with our own Mighty Tacoma Ale in partnership with the Harmon Brewery, a dance performance by BQdanza, and a chance to meet some of the exhibition's featured artists. | |
