Free Third Thursday

The museum is open late every Third Thursday with free admission between 5 and 8 pm. Enjoy the exhibitions and special Third Thursday activities and programs. See the exhibition 30 Americans and get inspired to take part in featured interactive projects with local artists!

5:00–7:30 pm | Cheney Classroom on Third Floor

{Studio S} Fine Arts is located in Bellevue and Lakewood and offers art classes for children and adults. {Studio S} aims to help students learn to see their surroundings in a new way and to express their ideas with a basic understanding of drawing and painting. This exhibition is the result of the students’ effort and artistic talent.

Drop-In Poetry Writing with Angela Logan

5:00–8:00 pm | TAM Studio

Create poetry inspired by art! Artist Angela Logan will introduce four types of poems; haiku, sonnets, free verse, and name poems. You’re invited to talk about themes from 30 Americans and write your own original poem. Feel free to drop by the Poetry Slam to share your words during open mic!

Poetry Slam: The American Experience

6:30–8:00 pm | Murray Event Space

Experience a poetry slam where local wordsmiths present their creative original poetry, composed in response to the artwork in 30 Americans. Locally recognized poet and emcee Elijah Muied will introduce four headliners at this open mic event. Refreshments provided.

Happy Hour in the TAM Cafe

4:00–7:00 pm

Free museum admission begins at 5 pm. However, paid admission is not required to visit the TAM Cafe. Come early and relax in the TAM Cafe for happy hour discounts on beer, wine, and snacks.
