Almost Warm and Fuzzy: Childhood and Contemporary Art

July 8 – September 17, 2000

Watch cannons shoot confetti soap or sculpt from a mountain of pink clay at the Bubblegum Station. Look out! Don’t get sneezed on by the Art Guy’s giant nose! Experience various views of childhood – a mix of innocence and nostalgia were explored in this exhibition combining forty thought-provoking works by 32 contemporary artists and artists’ groups from the United States and abroad. Almost Warm and Fuzzy was a whimsical and fun-loving look at childhood, but not without a thoughtful undercurrent that speaks to the reality of growing up and becoming an adult.
