Northwest Biennial: Buildingwise

Tacoma Art Museum’s move into its new building in May 2003 created the focus for the Northwest Biennial: Buildingwise. The exhibition was juried by renowned Russian-born installation artists Ilya and Emilia Kabakov. Nearly 100 works from artists in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana presented a wide range of media that reflect on notions of constructed space and the built environment.
