Scott Fife

September 18, 2004 – January 2, 2005

Tacoma Art Museum continues its commitment to Northwest art and artists with this exhibition of sculpture by Seattle artist Scott Fife. This select survey spans Fife’s distinguished twenty-five year career. Fife’s art builds on the work of 1960s pop artists’ love of whimsy, irony and devotion to American culture, all of which are clear strengths in Fife’s sculpture. The artist’s recent portrait sculpture probes American life with wry wit and pointed social critique. The exhibition is part of the museum’s Northwest Perspective series.
