Adult Tour Workshops
TAM tour workshops allow groups to explore artistic techniques inspired by TAM’s exhibitions. Learn more about artistic processes, work with a professional teaching artist, and take home a work of art to remember your group’s visit to TAM.
Workshops are an hour long and include all supplies. Tour registration is required for all workshops.
Cost: $25/person. Minimum of 5 participants; maximum of 25.
Printmaking is a multifaceted medium and this workshop lets you experiment with the newest tool of the trade: gel printing plates. Create colorful, textural prints by layering images, ghost printing, and more. Recommended tour theme pairing: Zhi LIN
Take a stab at the art of needle felting in this fun, introductory workshop. Select from colorful roving, grab a barbed needle, and create a fuzzy fiber artwork that will be hard to keep your hands off. Recommended tour theme pairing: Northwest Art and Artists
Glass fusing is hot, and not just in temperature. Combine frit, stringers, and other glass pieces as you make a large, one-of-a-kind fused glass tile. Watercolor Still-Life Painting
Explore the longstanding tradition of still-life painting and experiment with basic watercolor techniques. Participants will use dynamic compositions of objects as a reference point while they create an artwork in the way that has fascinated artists for centuries.
