Art + Sci: Poetic and Utility
April 19, 2018 @ 6:00 pm8:00 pm

Doors open at 6 pm for drinks, bites, and conversation.
Artist Talk starts at 6:30 pm.

Art + Sci is back at TAM!  Discover the creative connections between the complementary worlds of art and science.  Enjoy our new exhibitions and an evening of drinks, small bites, and outside-of-the-box concepts.

Seattle artist Buster Simpson will explore the intersections between aesthetics and utility in response to pressing environmental issues. Following the talk, arts educator Elizabeth Conner will lead a conversation with the artist.

Buster Simpson received his MFA in 1969, and the Distinguished Alumni Award in Architecture and Design at the University of Michigan. Presently, Simpson is working on a commissioned project for the Seattle Waterfront Seawall, a large stainless-steel divining rod wind vane for a water education center.

This program is FREE and open to the public.
