Then\, through hands-on practice\, they’ll explore a range of techniques—from simple everyday wraps to more intricate turban styles. The class will also cover fabric selection\, helping students choose materials that best express their personality. By the end\, each participant will have mastered multiple head wrap styles\, gaining confidence to incorporate these versatile accessories into their everyday fashion and self-expression.\n\nThis class\, students will discover the rich heritage and creative possibilities of head wraps. Pre-registration is encouraged to help us prepare supplies. This program is free of charge and open to adults aged 50 and older. Each session offers enriching gallery conversations centered on current exhibitions\, hands-on art workshops\, and welcoming community time. Open to adults aged 50 and over\, the program nurtures creativity\, supports well-being\, fosters meaningful friendships\, and deepens personal connections to the Tacoma Art Museum’s collection and the vibrant work of regional artists. It is held once each month.\n\nWhat to Expect\n\nLight walking in gallery\nSit-down art activity\nWheelchair & walker accessible\n\nPay-What-You-Can\nThis event uses a pay-what-you-can model so everyone can participate\, regardless of financial circumstance. You decide the contribution that feels right for you—starting as low as $0. \nWhen reserving tickets\, enter your preferred donation amount per ticket and select how many you’d like. Care partners are welcome\, please register an extra seat. \nYour contribution directly supports the Tacoma Art Museum’s education programs and future community events.
