About
Join The Current, An Artist Award for an opening reception and preview of Internet Speed, featuring five regional contemporary artists: Christopher Lee Hill, Chloe King, Henry Jackson-Spieker, Tariqa Waters and Anthony White. Hear remarks from curator Victoria Miles and the exhibiting artists, and enjoy light bites, a cash bar, music, and art activities.
Internet Speed explores the omnipresence of technological influence through themes of nostalgia, personal identity, futurism, time and space. The works are layered, captivating and thought provoking – demanding the viewer’s time and attention and a closer look to register the information that is to be absorbed.
Organized by Tacoma Art Museum and curated by Victoria Miles. Part of The Current, An Artist Award.
