Legacy: Highlights from the Permanent Collection

Opens February 14, 2026

Over the past 90 years, Tacoma Art Museum has developed an important collection of art that spans the Pacific Northwest and beyond. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore some of the most beloved and significant works from the collection while tracing artistic innovation, regional identity, and the ongoing dialogue between Northwest artists and broader American and global art movements. Organized by Tacoma Art Museum and curated by Jessica Wilks.

Tacoma Art Museum is located on the homelands of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians. We recognize and honor the enduring Puyallup people and Coast Salish communities as we strive for a fuller understanding of the histories and currents of this place, and a more equitable future. Tacoma Art Museum is a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. EIN: 91-0697444.
