2008 Neddy Artist Fellowship

May 31 – August 24, 2008

For the fourth consecutive year, Tacoma Art Museum partnered with the Behnke Foundation to host an exhibition of work by the Neddy Artist Fellowship nominees and winners. The Neddy Artist Fellowship was established in 1996 as a memorial to Robert E. (Ned) Behnke (1948-1989) by the Behnke family and the Behnke Foundation, honoring Ned’s contributions to the Northwest artistic community. The Fellowship is awarded to a Northwest artist who demonstrates artistic excellence, innovation, unique vision, and a passionate commitment to his or her art and community. This exhibition is organized by Tacoma Art Museum with generous support from the Behnke family and the Behnke Foundation.

Tacoma Art Museum is located on the homelands of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians. We recognize and honor the enduring Puyallup people and Coast Salish communities as we strive for a fuller understanding of the histories and currents of this place, and a more equitable future. Tacoma Art Museum is a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. EIN: 91-0697444.
