September 10 @ 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Create space for stillness

Explore the fun and relaxing world of meditative watercolor. This mini retreat will introduce artists of any level to techniques and tools to put the mind at ease. We’ll discuss the joy of moving paint around paper in a relaxed setting and making space for creativity in our busy schedules.

Basic techniques of watercolor painting will be covered, along with six picture-making activities meant to spark creativity and mindfulness.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own materials (sketchbooks, paints, brushes, etc.); however, Tacoma Art Museum will provide all necessary supplies.
