Creative Aging: Tote Bag Textile PaintingCreative Aging (50+) at TAM is a free monthly program designed to inspire and connect. Each session offers enriching gallery conversations centered on current exhibitions, hands-on art workshops, and welcoming community time. Open to adults aged 50 and over, the program nurtures creativity, supports well-being, fosters meaningful friendships, and deepens personal connections to the Tacoma Art Museum’s collection and the vibrant work of regional artists. It is held on the 1st Saturday of each month.

*Due to limited capacity, registration is suggested but not required.

August’s Creative Aging class will experience a slideshow presentation and focus on the sculpture by Marie Watt (Seneca Nation; born Seattle, Washington, 1967) Blanket Stories: Transportation Object, Generous Ones, Trek. Our project will be tote bag textile painting.
