We joined The Current for an exciting, hands-on first session of a clay workshop led by artist and potter Kristina Batiste of juniper clay.
Batiste led participants in creating a collective coil pot and taught everyone how to create clay coils for the pot. Participants created their own small clay work while waiting to add to the collaborative work. This allowed participants to try and experiment with making different shapes and structures.
This clay workshop series aligns with the themes of The Current, illustrating the importance of intentionality and patience in creating!
