Andy Goldsworthy: Mountain and Coast Autumn into Winter

June 19 – September 19, 2004

Tacoma Art Museum presented this nationally traveling exhibition featuring sculptures made of natural materials such as leaves, stones, and twigs, as well as large-scale photographs that document similar sculptures created by British artist Andy Goldsworthy during his visit to Japan in 1987. Goldsworthy, a highly regarded artist with large-scale commissions throughout the world, relies on the cyclical rhythms of nature to create distinctive works. This exhibition is courtesy of the Haines Gallery, San Francisco, California, and the artist, and was generously supported by Key Foundation—a foundation funded by Key Bank.
