What We Tend Will Grow: Seed Workshop
May 2 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Local artist Aisha Harrison has been commissioned by the Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA) to make a sculpture for placement at the University of Washington’s Tacoma campus that reflects the community of Tacoma and the idea of belonging. The sculpture, which includes a large round table growing roots, will contain “seeds,” objects made by community members to metaphorically represent the things we want to see grow – actions, goals, and aspirations. Take your “seat at the table,” and join a workshop at the Tacoma Art Museum to create your seed for this permanent sculpture on the UWT campus.

Location: Tacoma Art Museum
Time: 5-8pm
